General contractors coordinate dozens of subcontractors, hundreds of RFIs, thousands of schedule changes, and millions of dollars in pay applications — often using a combination of spreadsheets, email chains, phone calls, and paper logs.
The enterprise project management platforms (Procore, PlanGrid, Buildertrend) are powerful, but they are designed for large organizations with dedicated technology staff and six-figure software budgets. The majority of GCs and specialty contractors — the companies that actually build things — are left behind.
What We Built
HardHatBot is AI-powered project coordination that works the way construction people actually work. Instead of forcing superintendents to fill out forms and click through dashboards, the AI handles the administrative burden: generating daily logs from minimal inputs, flagging scheduling conflicts before they cause delays, tracking RFI deadlines that would otherwise slip, and assembling pay applications from schedule progress.
The goal is not to replace the project manager's judgment. It is to give them back the 3+ hours per day they currently spend on coordination overhead, so they can spend that time where it matters — on the jobsite, solving real problems.
